Nancy Jean Higgins

Nancy Jean Higgins, age 64, of Rhinelander, died on June 27, 2024, in Rhinelander. She was born on June 1, 1960, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Gale and Carol (Schneider) Higgins. Nancy attended schools in Milwaukee, graduating from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1978.

After her schooling Nancy went to work for a number of insurance companies and health care institutions in clerical and medical underwriting. She moved to Rhinelander to be near family in 2021 and has lived here since.

Nancy enjoyed gardening and doing counted cross-stitch. She loved dogs and has had a dog her entire adult life. She loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinelander.

Nancy is survived by her son Andrew (McKayla) Bauske, her mother Carol Higgins and her brother Alan (Kristin) Higgins. She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service for Nancy was held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Karl Schultz officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
