NWLT announces evening guided snowshoe walk
The Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) is inviting the public to participate in a free guided snowshoe walk from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at the Tower Nibiiwan Conservation Area located in the township of Sugar Camp.
“This 31-acre property donated in 2022 has a nice network of trails and encompasses over 1,000 feet of shoreline along an unnamed bog lake. Exploring it at night under a full moon will be a real treat!” NWLT Outreach Coordinator Troy Walters said in a press release announcing the outing.
“Participants will be snowshoeing on trail learning about animal adaptations to a nighttime environment while exploring our 5 senses at the same time,” the release states. “Participants need to bring their own snowshoes and flashlight.”
To register for the event, visit https://northwoodslandtrust.org/ and click on News & Events, contact the NWLT office at 715- 479-2490 or email [email protected] by Thursday, Feb. 22.
Space is limited.
