Sugar Camp Winter Regatta returns this weekend
The “Winter Regatta,” northern Wisconsin’s largest outdoor winter cornhole tournament, will take place in Sugar Camp this Friday, Jan. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 27.
Sixty-four teams will compete in a double elimination tournament.
This tournament pays out to third place with $1,000 to first place based on a full bracket, organizers said in a press release.
The festivities will begin on Friday with an Ice/Fish Fry from 5 to 9 p.m. under the heated tent with live music from Michael Saint.
On Saturday, there will be kids games, comical adult games, music and more.
Food and beverage offerings will include pretzel dogs, chili, booyah and parsley buttered baby red potatoes.
The major sponsor for this year’s event is Lake Nokomis Cranberries Winery & Gift Shop, a local third generation cranberry farm.
Lake Nokomis Cranberries and the Dave Zawistowski family will be offering wine tastings and cranberry gift shop products including award-winning wine, cheese, jams and relevant cranberry products on Friday evening and all day on Saturday.
All proceeds from the sale of these products will go to the Sugar Camp Snowmobile Club.
