Softball tournament in Hodag Dome to support local organizations
The Hodag Dome will be busy beginning this afternoon as 16 youth teams take part in the Premier Girls Fastpitch Winter Whiteout Tournament. In addition to welcoming teams from around the state and the Upper Midwest, the tournament will help support the Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Lily’s House.
In addition to monetary donations, the group will be collecting household items to be donated to Lily’s House.
“When PGF was here in November, they helped donate over 400lbs of food to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry. This weekend they are supporting the Tri-County Council & Lily’s House, and will offer a $5 discount on admission with donations,” Hodag Dome officials stated on Facebook promoting the event. “There will also be a collection bin in the lobby leading up to this weekend if you’d like to donate. We are so grateful for PGF’s continued support for the Rhinelander community!”
The tournament gets underway at 4 p.m. today, continues all day tomorrow and concludes on Sunday.
