Sadly, Debora Jean (Huber) Labodda, age 67 of Rhinelander, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was born on July 16, 1956, in Rhinelander, to Louis Huber Jr. and Agnes (Heise) Huber. She attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1974. Debi spent most of her adult life in retail with time spent at Schultz's, Prange Way and finally 27 plus years at Walmart where she was a loyal employee that worked hard and had many, many friends.
Debi met the love of her life, Dan Labodda, in 1992. They were married on February 17, 1995, in Rhinelander, and were blessed with nearly 29 years together. They were the loves of each other’s lives and they spent many vacations enjoying themselves at beach resorts in tropical locations.
Debi was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan and loved watching the games with Dan, especially when they won. She was an avid gardener and her vast garden was lush with flowers and plants. She was especially proud of her impressive collection of Hosta varieties. She also passionately loved dogs and raised many canine companions.
Most importantly, Debi was extremely proud of her daughter, Greta Haug, for the young woman she has become and all that she has achieved.
Debi Jean, as she was affectionately known, brought joy to all who knew her. She had a smile and personality that brightened every situation. Among her many beautiful traits, Debi was well-known for her long, shiny straight hair. She was a bright, accomplished, lovely woman. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband Daniel, her daughter Greta Haug, her stepdaughter Erica Labodda, her step-grandchild Noah, her sisters Mary Friday and Sharon (Robert) Van Ryzin, her nieces Theresa (Friday) Werner and Traci (Friday) Biolo, nephews John Huber and Joe Huber. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law Jerry and Audrey Labodda, brother-in-law Jeff (Liz) Labodda, her sisters-in-law Renee (Rich) Severino and Suzanne Labodda, their children and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael Huber, her paternal grandparents Hazel (Lee) and Louis Huber Sr., and maternal grandparents Othelia (Thompson) and August Heise.
