Warming centers available in Oneida County

With bitter cold temperatures and very cold wind chills 10 to 30 below zero, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services has identified the following facilities that are open for business in the event citizens need to seek warmth.

Hours below reflect the week of Monday, Jan. 15 through Sunday, Jan. 21.

Rhinelander area

• Walmart Supercenter: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Sunday, 2121 Lincoln Street — 715-362-8550.

• YMCA of the Northwoods: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, Jan.15-19; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20; 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2003 E. Winnebago Street — 715-362-9622.

Minocqua/Woodruff area

• Walmart Supercenter: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Sunday, 8760 Northridge Way — 715-256-1609.
