Squirt Bs take 2nd in home tourney

The Rhinelander Ice Association’s Squirt B hockey team placed second in its division this past weekend at its home Squirt B/C Invitational at the Rhinelander Ice Arena. The Hodags defeated Verona 3-2 and Waunakee 4-2 to advance to the championship game, where they fell to Middleton, 3-1.

Middle School Wrestling 

The James Williams Middle School wresting team had an handful of athletes compete in a six-team Central Wisconsin Wrestling Conference invite at Minocqua-Hazelhurst-Lake Tomahawk Elementary School Monday, Feb. 19. Max Miljevich went 3-1 in his matches for Rhinelander, Noah Leisure split his two matches and Ahna Zeske went 0-3 on the day.

JV Hoops 

The Rhinelander High School junior varsity girls’ basketball team closed out its season Friday, Feb. 16 with a 51-46 loss to Mosinee at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
