Jacqueline Rose Hansen

Jacqueline Rose (Chappa) Hansen passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2024, at the age of 96, in Eau Claire.

Jackie was born in Hayward, to George M. and Eleanor R. (Brickman) Chappa, on July 26, 1927.

 Jackie graduated from Washburn High School in 1945. She attended the College of St. Scholastic and the University of Wisconsin Superior.

 Jackie married M. K. (Lindy) Hansen in Minocqua in 1948. They were blessed with four children. The family moved to Rhinelander in 1964.

Jackie taught English at Minocqua High School during her early career. She took time off to care for her young children. When she returned to education, she worked the remainder of her career at Lakeland High School.

Jackie is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Deborah) Hansen of Eau Claire, her grandson, Kenneth Jones of Newark, Delaware and her son-in-law, Harvey Jones of Water Valley, Mississippi. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Craig and Scott, daughter, Patricia, her parents, and her siblings, Glenore Jensen, Nancy Ann Koert and Wm. Chappa.

There will be a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jackie to the Rhinelander District Library.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home of Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
