Clash of the Paddles tourney set March 23-24 in Hodag Dome

The YMCA of the Northwoods will host the Clash of the Paddles indoor pickleball tournament on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 at the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander. 

Play in the men’s and women’s doubles division will take place March 23. Mixed doubles and play in the 65-and-over division will take place March. 24. Players may register individually, or with a partner. The fee per player is $35 and $10 for entering an additional division. The deadline for registering for the tournament is March 10. 

Players will be guaranteed five games in each division, using a round robin formation. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each division.

Little League baseball, softball registration open

Registration for the Rhinelander Little League baseball and softball programs is now open. 

The league is open for boys age 4-12 and girls age 4-14 in the Rhinelander area. 

Registration is open through March 28 with greater discounts with early registration. The fee is $50 per player/$75 per family through Feb. 29. The price increases to $70 per player/$100 per family March 1-17 and $90 per player/$120 per family March 18-28.
