Christopher James Fondie

Christopher James Fondie, age 52, lost his long battle with COPD on January 24, 2024 at home in Madison. He was born on January 9, 1972, to James and Karen Fondie, in Appleton. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1991.

Chris is survived by his wife, Nicole Fondie, daughter Zoey Fondie, and his sisters Pamela (Keith) Krueger of Rhinelander and Amy (Jose) Castellanos of Mattoon. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, his beloved dogs and many very good friends.

He was proceeded in death by his sister Melissa Fondie, mother Karen Fondie and father James Fondie.

Chris was a great father and spent a lot of his time challenging his daughter to draw anything he could think up. He also loved engaging with people on social media and posting as many funny and inspirational memes he could find. For many he was known as the Crazy Coffee guy for his morning posts with his crazy hair and fun coffee mugs.  He also loved drumming, music and spending time at home with his family and dogs.

Chris battled his illness for a long time, but never gave up and did all he could to spread good cheer and hope to all those around him.  At this time the family is planning as celebration of life at a later date.
