YMCA accepting nominations for Teen Character Awards
The YMCA of the Northwoods will host its annual Teen Character Awards on Sunday, April 14 and nominations are being accepted now through late February.
“The Y Teen Character Awards recognizes teens that model the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility through their everyday actions,” according to a press release announcing the 2024 event. “Our returning Presenting Sponsor this year will be our local Rhinelander Rotary Club. The Rhinelander Rotary Club’s commitment to service fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership will make this event even more empowering for the teens nominated.”
“The awards are an important way to recognize teens that have made positive changes in their personal lives and in our community,” the release states. “Winning this award will encourage a teen to continue making a difference and feel recognized and supported in doing so. The award will also serve as a great resume booster for college and employment applications.”
The Y is currently accepting both nominations and sponsorship for the Y Teen Character awards. Know of a teen that is actively making a difference in their community by modeling YMCA core values and Rotary’s mission driven character? Teen Character nomination submissions can be mailed, faxed, emailed, or submitted on the website at www.ymcaofthenorthwoods.com.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Feb. 26.
