Julie Ann Mitchem

Julie Ann Mitchem, 83, of the Town of Enterprise, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024, at home and under the care of Leroyer Hospice.

Julie was born on November 24, 1941, in Ladysmith, to Floyd and Theo (Nichols) Ferch. She grew up in Enterprise,  attending school there, and then in Elcho, where she graduated from Elcho High School in 1959. She later graduated with an associate in applied science degree and continued on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel College, in St. Paul, Minn. 

Julie was employed in the airline industry for most of her working career and retired from Northwest Airlines. After retirement she returned to enjoy her retirement in Enterprise.

Julie is survived by her husband, Roy Douglas Mitchem, Enterprise; a son, David Nichols, Enterprise; daughter, Susan Brooks, Antigo; brothers, Steven Ferch, Rhinelander and Lanny Ferch, Casper, Wyoming, and nephews Mark Ferch, Todd Ferch and Jeffrey Ferch.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Theo Ferch, and father, Floyd Ferch.

Julie enjoyed traveling, and upon retiring, raising and caring for her dogs.

Julie will be sadly missed by her family. She will be laid to rest by her mother, in the Enterprise Cemetery.
