Daily United Express flights to Chicago, operated by SkyWest Airlines, will return this summer, officials at the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport report. The flights from Rhinelander to O’Hare International Airport (ORD) will operate seasonally from May 22 through Sept. 28, 2025, according to a press release issued by airport director Matthew Leitner last Friday.
These new seasonal flights will provide travelers with another avenue into or out of the beautiful Northwoods region through United’s vast global network, the release states.
“On behalf of Chairman Patrick Marquart, Commissioners Bradley Kowieski and Geoffrey Weller, I wish to extend our gratitude to SkyWest and United for demonstrating their strong commitment to the furtherance of commercial air service for Rhinelander and the surrounding Northwoods region,” Leitner said. “We urge area travelers to visit united.com to view flight options and look forward to welcoming additional passengers using RHI from Chicago!”
The flights to Chicago O’Hare will be onboard a CRJ200 regional jet aircraft. They will be timed to provide passengers with optimal connection opportunities to destinations around the world from the second busiest hub airport in the nation.
Initial service will begin with one daily roundtrip flight and a second daily roundtrip flight will be added on June 28.
Customers aboard the new flights will have the opportunity to accrue frequent flier miles in United’s award-winning MileagePlus loyalty program.
