In 2024, the Rhinelander Community Foundation (RCF) celebrated an extraordinary achievement — surpassing $1 million in grants awarded to the community since its founding in 2015. This remarkable milestone reflects the power of generosity and a shared commitment to creating a brighter future for Rhinelander.
“Thanks to the unwavering support of donors and visionary leadership, RCF reached this $1,000,000 milestone by awarding meaningful grants through established funds,” RCF stated in a press release. “With over $2 million in donations received since its inception, the Foundation continues to grow as a beacon of hope and progress.”
This year alone, RCF granted over $92,000 to 21 local charitable organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of Rhinelander residents. Additionally, seven new funds were created, further strengthening the Foundation’s ability to impact the community.
Among these is the Ron and Elsie Gaber Grants for the Greater Good endowment fund, which will inspire collaborative projects for generations to come.
“RCF provides an enduring way for donors to make a difference,” the release noted. “Whether contributing to an existing fund or creating a new one, donors can achieve their charitable goals — supporting causes close to their hearts, empowering organizations, or leaving a lasting family legacy. Endowed funds are built to last forever, growing through investment and creating annual grants that reflect the values and vision of the donors who established them.”
RCF is a 501(c)3 non-profit, accredited by the Community Foundations National Standards. This accreditation serves as a gold standard, ensuring that RCF operates with integrity, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to ethical and effective practices.
“Together, we are building a stronger, more vibrant Rhinelander — one act of generosity at a time,” the release added.
