Jeb D. Ostrom

Jeb D. Ostrom, age 37, of Rhinelander, died on Dec. 15, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 18, 1987 in Palatka, Fla., the son of Dennis and Lena (Moody) Ostrom. He moved to the Rhinelander area as a child and has lived here since. He attended schools here, graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 2005. Jeb then attended Northern Michigan University technical college and graduated as a lineman. He went to work for the Intren Corporation and IBEW Local 2150.

Jeb married the former Megan Germer on June 15, 2013 in Rhinelander and God blessed them with three beautiful children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything in the woods, and he enjoyed playing hockey in his youth. More important than any of that was his love of his wife and his kids.

Jeb is survived by his wife Megan, his children Fallon, Hawkins and Adler, his parents, his brothers Randy (Darla) Ostrom and Luke Ostrom, his nephew Easton and his father and mother-in-law Thomas and Robin Germer. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Carl Ostrom, Dolores Johnson, Alice Johns and Fate Moody and his cousin Matthew Moody.

A visitation for Jeb will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at the Carlson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Jeb’s name to benefit his children.
