David Ross Schroeder Sr.

David Ross Schroeder Sr., age 77, of Rhinelander, died on Dec. 12, 2024 at the Rhinelander Aspirus Hospital. He was born on Oct. 4, 1947 in New Buffalo, Mich., the son of Harry and Leona (Hillman) Schroeder. He moved to the Harshaw area at the age of 10 and attended schools here graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1965. He was employed by the Rhinelander Paper Company for nearly 40 years retiring in 2004.

David married the former Lynn Towne on June 21, 1982 and they were blessed with over 42 years of marriage. When he was able, they enjoyed traveling, hunting and snowmobiling.

David is survived by his wife Lynn, his son David Schroeder Jr., his sister Patricia (Bill) Collison, his brother Robert (Susan) Schroeder, nieces, nephews, other family, his furry buddies Kingsley and Queensley, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Raymond, Vernon, Ronald and Gerald.

Services for David will be held at a later date. The times and location will be published here. He will be laid to rest in the Union Grove Cemetery.
