Rhinelander Lions Club to provide free Christmas meal
For nearly 40 years, the Rhinelander Lions Club has made sure no one in the Rhinelander area has to go hungry on Christmas.
Since 1986, the club has been preparing and serving a community holiday meal.
From 1986 to 2019 the club organized and served a group Christmas dinner.
Since 2020, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the event has transitioned to a pickup and delivery service.
This year, dinners will be available for pickup at the Trig’s Deli Express entrance between 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 25. Home delivery of meals can also be arranged. Please call (715) 525-1068 before Dec. 24 to arrange delivery.
Donations to the club can be sent to:
Rhinelander Lions Club
PO Box 1005
Rhinelander, WI 54501
Donations will also be accepted at Trig’s door on Christmas Day, according to a Lions Club press release.
“Many thanks to Trig’s, local businesses and friends who help make this event possible,” the release states.
