Wreaths Across America Day to be observed at Northwoods National Cemetery Dec. 14

This year, Saturday, Dec. 14, is National Wreaths Across America Day and the local observance will be conducted at the Northwoods National Cemetery at 4520 Lakewood Road in Harshaw.

The program will begin at 11 a.m. and will include the ceremonial laying of wreaths that each represent a branch of the nation’s armed forces and will conclude with wreath laying by family and friends at the graves of loved ones interred in the cemetery. 

Due to limited parking, carpooling is recommended. 

For those who need a shorter walk into the cemetery, transportation via bus service from Rondele Ranch will be available with departures at 10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. returning to the ranch after the wreath placement.
