Northwoods School of Dance to present ‘The Nutcracker’

The Northwoods School of Dance, along with the non-profit Dance Northwoods group, will perform their interpretation of “The Nutcracker” and other specialty pieces at the Jim and Dori Brown Performing Arts Center at Rhinelander High School. Times for the two shows are: 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

“The dancers have been rehearsing and are excited to revisit this classic Christmas story,” organizers said in a press release. “Jazz, Tap, Lyrical and Hip/Hop dancers aged 3-22 will open the show with holiday favorites.”

Taylor Pitlik, Miriah Mannikko, Katie Shrock and Tanya Taylor, along with director Karen Cook and assistant director Jessie Phelps, have been choreographing pieces for these two shows. Tickets will be sold at the door prior to each show. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children. Those age 2 and under are admitted free.
