Geary T. Wallschlaeger

Geary T. Wallschlaeger, 80 of Minocqua, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21. He was born June 7, 1944 in Milwaukee to Walter Wallschlaeger and Shirley (Collier) Wallschlaeger. After high school Geary joined the U.S. Army. Once back home he worked for AXA Equitable as a financial advisor and later Tall Timbers and Bear Country Builders. He enjoyed playing and watching golf, watching football — most importantly the Packers and Badgers, traveling, playing poker, fishing and watching westerns. He cherished his time with his son TJ and his family. He is survived by his children TJ (Nikki) Wallschlaeger, Julie “Wally” (David) Prechel and Mike Wallschlaeger. Also, his brothers Mike (Char) Wallschlaeger, Pat (Jeanie) Wallschlaeger and sister Mary (Mike) Ladron. Grandchildren Tyler Wallschlaeger, Jadyn Wallschlaeger, Sidney Prechel and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, uncle Gene Wallschlaeger and Christopher Wallschlaeger. Visitation will be held on Sept. 8, at noon, service to follow at 1 p.m. at Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services in Woodruff. Burial at a later time at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
