YMCA announces ‘Mystery Trip’
Are you adventurous? Do you like to visit new and interesting places? If so, the YMCA of the Northwoods’ upcoming “Mystery Trip,” in which the entire day is unknown to you, might be the getaway for you.
“This daycation has five stops, for which travelers will receive clues on the day of the adventure,” YMCA officials explained in a press release. “Bring your curiosity, an appetite, and some spending money for potential goodies to bring back with you. Lunch and a special snack are included in the price of the trip.”
The trip will take place on Friday, Sept. 20 with the bus departing the Y at 7:45 a.m. and returning around 8 p.m.
“This is the first time the Y is offering a mystery trip,” said Marilyn Duschl, coordinator of the YMCA’s Active Older Adult program. “I know it will be a fun day trip. I don’t even know the locations! The staff from Adventure Tours UWSP Continuing Education have planned the trip.”
The cost is $160 for Y members and $170 for the general public. The fee includes deluxe coach bus, lunch, a special snack, and entrance to 5 venues. This trip is open to anyone in the community. Seats are limited so register by calling the Y at 715-362-9622 by Sept. 12.
