Keith Lambert

Lambert

Keith was called home to his maker on Thursday Aug. 14, 2024. Keith passed in his home under the care of Compassus hospice. Keith fought a long and courageous battle against heart disease and kidney failure, spanning over three decades, a testament to his resilience that included two heart transplants and many trips to Milwaukee for medical care. Despite the many tribulations thrown Keith's way, he always remained in good spirits and had unwavering faith.

Keith was an avid outdoorsman, sports enthusiast, and loving father and grandfather. Known for his infectious smile, wonderful sense of humor, and quick witty comebacks, Keith captured the hearts of all whom had the pleasure of knowing him. He used his sense of humor, and witty comments, to brighten the room until the very end. Keith faced life’s challenges with grace and optimism, leaving a lasting impression to all who crossed his path. His children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and his role as a father and grandfather was cherished beyond measure. He truly was the best father, a wonderful grandfather, loving brother, and loyal friend.

Keith’s absence will be deeply felt by his loved ones. He was not just a father, but also a guiding light not simply a grandfather, but a source of endless joy. All whom had the pleasure of knowing Keith will feel the void of his absence, but will carry forward fond memories of his quick wit and enduring strength. However, it is through that void we can find comfort; for such a great void can only be left by someone with significant impact. Keith will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

Keith is survived by his children Megan (Brent) Wilmot, Phillip Lambert, and Alex Lambert, grandchildren Hadley, Easton, and Talon Wilmot, sister Deb (Jan) Breivogel, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Tim and Shirley Lambert, sister Jody Hitter, and several McCarty cousins whom were more like siblings to Keith.

The family extends a special thank you to Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee for 30 years of compassionate care, and also to Compassus hospice for the compassionate care given in his last days ensuring he maintained his dignity while maintaining quality of life.

A memorial service will be held for Keith at the Carlson Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024 at noon with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. A visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
