Cheryl "BZ" May Biesik, 67, of Ladysmith, and a former Rhinelander resident, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 15, 2024, with her family at her side, at VitaCare Living of Ladysmith.
Cheryl was born in Rhinelander on April 10, 1957, to Donald A. and Deanna M. (Keso) Biesik. She was raised in Rhinelander and was a 1975 graduate of Rhinelander High School. BZ was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 41 years, where she was employed at the Jolly Fisherman, Petersen Health Care, and later at Bethesda, retiring in 2016 due to declining health issues.
BZ was a member of a women's pool league which included shooting for Pine Harbor, Brown Jug, Sunset Junction and the Longbranch. She enjoyed going to the V.F.W. for bingo, playing the slot machines at the local watering holes, Karaoke, watching the Packers and Badgers as an avid fan, and a good cup of cappuccino. But most of all, BZ loved spending time with her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Scott Biesik of Rhinelander, her mother, Deanna Keso-Biesik of Rhinelander, siblings, Sidney (Robert) Tritten of Rhinelander, Marcia (Bryan) Fourt of Parrish, Becky Rick of Rhinelander, and brothers-in-law, Greg Eatherly of Kentucky and Curtis Fath of Rhinelander. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Biesik, in 2015, her grandparents, three sisters, Dinah Colson, Greta Eatherly and Karen Fath, and her longtime companion, Raymond "Jim" Tushoski.
The visitation for Cheryl will take place on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service. Eric Nueske will conduct the service.
Inurnment will take place at Northland Memorial Park.
