Bonnie Jean Bart

Bonnie Jean Bart, age 81, of Rhinelander, died on August 13, 2024, at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Rhinelander. She was born on March 4, 1943, in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of Lee and Marge Thurman.

Bonnie grew up in Champaign and attended schools there, graduating from Champaign High School in 1961. She moved around with her first husband and had two children. They moved to Sugar Camp and lived there from the early 1960s to 1988. Bonnie met and married Brian Bart in 1992 and together they lived here in Rhinelander.

Bonnie worked in the Activity Department at Taylor Park for 12 years up until her retirement. In her retirement, she joined Brian and worked with him in his excavating business. When she was not working she enjoyed being in her garden, tending to her flowers, and baking.

She is survived by her husband Brian and her sons David (Korrine) Loehrke and John (Jennifer) Loehrke. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Terry and Denny.

There will be a visitation for Bonnie on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home.
