Nicolet Players announce auditions for Agatha Christie’s ‘The Mousetrap’

Nicolet Players is preparing to hold open auditions for its fall production of Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap,” the world’s longest-running play, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary. Auditions will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. and again on Monday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Nicolet College Theatre.

There is no need to make an appointment, just come to the audition. Copies of the script can be checked out for three days at the Nicolet College library.

Everyone is welcome to audition. No acting experience is required, and participants do not need to be Nicolet College students. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a newcomer to the stage, Nicolet Players encourages you to try out for this iconic murder mystery play.

“We’re excited to bring this classic whodunit to life at Nicolet College,” Mike Effinger, Nicolet College theatre and performing arts manager, said in a press release. “With compelling characters, ‘The Mousetrap’ offers a unique opportunity for students and community members to be part of something truly special. We’re looking forward to seeing new faces and veteran actors alike at auditions.”

Directed by Vicki Fleming, “The Mousetrap” promises to offer an engaging experience for both actors and audience members alike. The production will run from Nov. 14 to 17. Performances on Nov. 14-16 will be at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, Nov. 17, there will be a special matinee-only performance at 2 p.m. all at the Nicolet College Theatre.
