Lumber for learning

Manny Oradei, caretaker of the Cedric A. Vig Outdoor Classroom (CAVOC) in Rhinelander, assists Rob Grefe of Merrill in milling logs Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024 for future use by students enrolled in the School District of Rhinelander’s wood technology courses. The lumber being milled is downed and defective trees removed from the CAVOC school property. A full story on this program will be published in a future edition of the River News.
