Dorothy Mae Ellner

Dorothy Mae Ellner, age 91 of Enterprise, died on July 30, 2024, at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill. She was born on May 13, 1933, in Van Dyne, Wis., to the late Herbert and Myrtle (Patt) Schumacher.

She married the late Jerome Ellner on April 28, 1956 and they celebrated 65 years of marriage together.

Dorothy worked as a waitress at the restaurant in Elcho for over 40 years until her retirement. She was a great cook and loved to entertain. She always enjoyed the company of her family and spending time together. Dorothy was also a member at St. John Lutheran Church in Enterprise.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Barbara (Wayne) Steers, her sons Rodney Ellner, Gene (Marlene) Ellner, Tim Ellner and Jim (Missy Ison) Ellner, her eight grandchildren, her 11 great-grandchildren, her sister Marlene Hinz, other family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome, her infant son Larry, her parents Herbert and Myrtle, her brothers Chester, Clarence, Arlie and Jerry, and her sister Elaine.

Private family services will be held for Dorothy. Interment will take place in the Enterprise Cemetery.
