AirPro Fan & Blower expands footprint in Rhinelander
By River News Staff
Rhinelander-based AirPro Fan & Blower has added another expansion property to its operations, this one a 20,000 square foot manufacturing space for increased metal machinery production, the company announced in a recent press release. This brings AirPro’s manufacturing locations to four properties in Rhinelander, with another rental property in Wyoming for the sales & marketing team, according to the release, the release states.
“This expansion represents the foundation for more exciting growth potential for our business,” explained AirPro president Keith White, Jr. “We’ve been challenged for years to optimize floorspace and build our products safely in the custom, expedient, high-quality environment that has characterized our business.”
AirPro’s “North” location opened in 2004 and has expanded several times over the years.
“Currently, the ‘North’ location houses heavy fabrication, finishing, assembly, and shipping operations,” the release states. “The ‘West’ location began operations in 2015 and stretched the floor space to capacity in no time. Right now, all machining and rotor fabrication and balancing happens at ‘West.’”
Prior to acquiring the newest location, the “East” location was AirPro’s newest building, opening in 2022, handling all of the front-end manufacturing activities as well as some back-end. The new “South” location will likely start with very front-end and back-end activities like storing inventory, managing parts, and storing finished goods, according to the company.
With this additional building AirPro will have more floorspace required to build heavy-metal machinery, which White said “is a key to staying organized and flexible.” The new building will also reduce operational headaches associated with not having enough space, the release states.
“AirPro’s expansion indicates their seriousness about growth and commitment to on-time delivery of quality industrial fans that carry an industry leading 3-year warranty,” the release continues. “This expansion will also mean more jobs for the Rhinelander community and an opportunity to be part of a 100% employee-owned company whose value has increased exponentially in recent years.”
“This plant was an opportunistic buy, and the business deal felt beneficial to both parties,” White noted. “The plant is already set up well to work for us and our operational environment, so it will not require much immediate renovation to make the space productive. We were able to partner with a local business in their exit and shutdown strategy, and in turn gain a terrific property that can fuel future business development for our quickly growing brand.”
AirPro is a 100% employee-owned company that manufactures and sells heavy-duty centrifugal fans and blowers.
