Barbara Jean Langlois, age 75, of Rhinelander, died on July 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on June 20, 1949, in Rhinelander, the daughter of Jim and Alice (Reisman) Harper.
Barbara met Dennis Langlois in 1967 and they dated to get back at him. They ended up marrying in 1968 and they shared many wonderful years together.
She enjoyed crocheting, crafting and baking cookies. She also helped out with the demo derby and other events. Barbara sang in the church choir, and everyone there wanted her as their “Secret Pal” because they knew they would get an afghan. She loved Jesus, her children and her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband Dennis, her daughters Bobbi Jean (Brad) Rouse, Kim Kay Rogers and Margaret Marie Waggoner (Ken), her grandchildren Nick, Krystal, Leroy, Elise, Heather, James and Brendan, her great-grandchildren Marshall, Brett, Tyler, Kylee, Natalie, Levi, Ryan, Morgan and Cylee, her sister Terri, her brothers Mac, Ted, Bob and Jimmy, special friends Nancy, Arro, Chip and Carol, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepdad Archie, her brothers Chuck, Lloyd and Fred, her sisters Shirley, Lucy, Rosy and Betty Jane, and her son-in-law, Steve.
There will be a visitation for Barbara on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, all at the Northern Lights Church of God in Rhinelander.
