Hodag historical marker to be rededicated May 17

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC), along with the Pioneer Park Historical Complex (PPHC), is inviting the general public to the Hodag Historical Marker rededication event scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 17.

The marker, located in Hodag Park near the ball field parking lot, has been refurbished and is ready to be unveiled. 

The rededication event will include a brief history of the marker and the Hodag, organizers said in a press release.

The event coincides with the Hodag Historical VIP Tour that evening as well as the Hodag Heritage Festival held May 18 at Pioneer Park. The VIP bus tour still has tickets available and those in attendance will be attending the rededication as part of the bus tour.

26th annual Rhinelander Car Show Pre-Registration Open

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) is taking pre-registrations for the 26th annual Rhinelander Car Show which will take place on June 8.

“Located on Brown Street again this year, the event typically features over 125 cars and coincides with the Art Fair on the Courthouse Lawn,” organizers said in a press release. “From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. thousands of locals and visitors head downtown to view the 21 classes of vehicles and see the large trophy presentation at 2 p.m. Pre-registered vehicle owners will receive a car show T-shirt and goody bag.”

“We are excited to continue the Rhinelander Car Show tradition,” stated RACC Director of Events & Strategic Initiatives, Rachel Boehlen. “This event is fun for the whole family!”
