Thomas James “Jimmy Woz” Wozniczka

Thomas James Wozniczka, “Jimmy Woz,” 64, of Rhinelander, passed away peacefully, at home with his family at his side.

Jimmy Woz was born in Rhinelander on March 1, 1960 to Tom and Alice (Pence) Wozniczka. He was raised in Rhinelander and was a 1978 graduate of Rhinelander High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country. After leaving the Navy, Jimmy Woz was employed in construction, where he built many homes and made furniture for many years. 

Jim is survived by his angel/fiancée: Debbie Shepherd, sisters: Kathee (Jay Kennedy) and Joyce Wozniczka, his children: Jack, Neil, Nathan, Dan, Kimberly, Racheal, Stacey, C.J. and Kristine. Jim is further survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother: Alice, his father: Thomas, sister: Teresa Ramker, brother-in-law: Sam Ramker Sr., and a nephew: Sammy Ramker Jr.

Jim enjoyed shooting pool, reading, camping, attending Hodag Country Fest, cribbage, cooking, especially beef stew and shish kabab and also enjoyed an occasional Pabst Blue Ribbon. 

He will be remembered for his amazing carpentry skills and for how he took great pride in his work.

The Celebration of Life for Jimmy Woz will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Sammy Jr.’s located at 801 Coon Street, from 1 to 5 p.m.
