Susan Marie Larson

Susan Marie Larson, age 68 of Rhinelander, died on March 29, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born on May 15, 1955 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander, to Dale and Doris (Hunter) Larson.

Sue attended St. Joseph Parochial School and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1973. She graduated from UW-River Falls with a B.S. in Elementary Education and UW-Stevens Point with a master’s degree in 1992.

Sue was dedicated to her students; teaching at Central, Cassian-Woodboro, South Park, and Crescent Schools in Rhinelander.

Her family was very important to her, taking pride in her father’s and brother’s careers in law enforcement and caring for her mother in their home.

Sue excelled in her hobbies of cardmaking, knitting and needlework which she shared with her church, family and friends. Until her eyesight failed, Sue enjoyed reading and using her Nook.

Sue is survived by her aunt Carol Kain, special cousins Jan Hamilton and Tom King and their families, many loved cousins, and special friend Jeanne Druschke. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother Allan, and her sister-in-law, Darlene.

The family would like to extend special thank yous to her in-home caregivers, the staff at Friendly Village in Rhinelander, and the staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 10 a.m. to noon with services following at noon all at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Father Chris Kemp will be officiating. You may leave your private condolences for the Larson family at www.carlsonfh.com.
