Applications for 2024 spring room tax grants now available

The Rhinelander Tourism and Marketing Committee (RTMC) is accepting applications for the spring disbursement of Room Tax Community Grants. Funding is available for not-for-profit community groups and organizations, according to an RTMC press release. Tourism-based projects or events between July 2024 and February 2025 and encouraged to apply during this cycle.

Proposed projects should be focused on events and/or projects for the Rhinelander and Town of Pelican areas and focus on bringing people into the area or on encouraging visitors to stay longer. A number of criteria must be met to qualify for grant consideration, according to the release. All grant criteria can be found on the application. The RTMC will not fund for-profit organizations.

Applications can be requested via the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. For a copy of the application, email [email protected] or call (715) 365-7464. Applications must be turned into the Chamber by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Electronic or paper applications will be accepted. RTMC board will review all applications during the May committee meeting.
