Karen Francis Jaeger
Karen Francis Jaeger, age 76, of Tomahawk, passed away March 10, 2024, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born July 31, 1947, in Rhinelander, the daughter of Caren “Blacky” and Blanche (Gillen) Mahner of Sugar Camp. Karen attended schools in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School.
Karen married Otto Jaeger when she was 19 years old and one year later, she had her first son Allen Louis Jaeger. Three years later she had her second son Robert Charles Jaeger, and 13 years later she gave birth to her daughter Angeligue Ann Jaeger.
She lived in Rhinelander for many years before moving to Marquette, Mich. for two years. Karen then lived in Iron River for three years where she worked as a hostess at Riverside Pizzeria. She eventually returned to Rhinelander where she was first a full-time Mom, She also worked in the home healthcare industry as a CNA for many years. She then moved to Tomahawk and worked at Merrill Wire before getting injured at work and becoming disabled.
Karen enjoyed all things nature and helping people. Above all, she loved her kids and her family. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her daughter Angelique, her sons Robert (Novalee) and Alan, her grandchildren Lindsey, Ronnie, Shar, and Trevor, her six great grandchildren Remy, Rory, Gianna, Danny, Orion, and Oscar, her sisters Sharon (Don) and Jeanette (Roger), other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Gene, Ronny, and Billy.
There will be a visitation for Karen Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander. You may leave your private condolences for the Jaeger family at www.carlsonfh.com.
