Geraldine “Jerry” Brusoe, age 92, of Tomahawk, formerly of Rhinelander, died on March 28, 2024 in Tomahawk. She was born on October 16, 1931, in Antigo, the daughter of Frank and Marion (Moscrip) Meyer. She moved to Rhinelander as a child and attended schools here graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1949.
Jerry was employed as the head of human resources for the Rhinelander Paper company for over 44 years. After her retirement, and in her 80s, she then went to work in the kitchen at the Oneida County jail.
For a number of years, she was also employed as a waitress at the White Stag.
Jerry married George Brusoe in June of 1951 and God blessed them with over 53 years of marriage. George preceded her in death on July 9, 2004.
Jerry was a huge Wisconsin sports fan. She would not miss a Hodags, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and most important of all, a Packers game. Even later in life she enjoyed going to Woodchucks games.
Jerry is survived by her daughter Julie (Steven) Dervetski, her grandson Kevin (Tricia) Dervetski and her great-grandchildren Brayden and Alina.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons Matthew in 2009 and Thomas in 2015.
Visitation for Jerry will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10 a.m. to noon, with funeral services following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Northland Garden Mausoleum.
