Tiffany to speak at OCEDC economic summit

The Oneida County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) has announced that U.S. Rep Tom Tiffany (R-Minocqua) will speak during the organization’s upcoming Small Business Economic Summit.

This event aims to support and empower the local small business community, with a special emphasis on business financing, according to an OCEDC press release.

Event highlights include:

• Innovative small business strategies, financing, networking, and insights to foster economic growth in the region.

“Thanks to a grant from the Small Business Administration in partnership with Nicolet College, the OCEDC has engaged with over 800 small businesses in Oneida County,” the release states. “These businesses have benefited from an array of support services such as education, grants, conventional commercial loans, and gap financing from revolving loan funds. Small businesses represent over 85% of employment in Oneida County, underlining their importance to the local economy.”

The summit is a golden opportunity for all Northwoods small businesses to network and explore local services available to them, the release states. 

After extensive feedback from businesses, the primary focus of the summit will be on financing options for startups, expansions, and succession. Attendees can also expect to connect with organizations offering education and other essential business support.
