Shirley Ann Blicharz

Shirley Ann Blicharz, age 87, of Three Lakes, died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023.

Shirley Ann Liss was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Milwaukee, to Roman and Margaret Liss.  Shirley graduated from Riverside High School and went on to marry her childhood sweetheart, Raymond Blicharz, on Sept. 10, 1955 in Milwaukee. They vacationed in the northwoods of Wisconsin and fell in love with hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and the outdoors. The couple moved to Three Lakes in 1977 and began their family business, Blicharz Builders, Inc. Shirley worked as the secretary and treasurer of the business.  

Shirley embraced Three Lakes and became an active member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and volunteered at the church’s thrift shop. She enjoyed shooting pool in the local leagues. Shirley and Ray enjoyed becoming Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus for holiday community events.  

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Margaret Liss, and her husband, Raymond Blicharz. She is survived by her son, Chris (Dianna) Blicharz, and daughters, Cherie (Dean) Diorio, and Laura (Mark) Geboy. 

Shirley is also survived by her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

In memory of Shirley, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at noon at the Three Lakes Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at 1 p.m. at the Reiter Center in Three Lakes. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
