RHS Sports recap: Tuesday, Sept. 26

Volleyball: Medford 3, Rhinelander 1

The Rhinelander High School volleyball team took the first set from Medford, but wasn’t able to steal any more in a 22-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-21 loss to the Raiders on the road Tuesday night. 

Kelsi Beran and Lexi Robinson had seven kills each for Rhinelander. Lily Treder added five kills and two blocks, Lucy Lindner had 16 assists and Emma Chiamulera had 22 digs.

Rhinelander (12-14, 1-6 Great Northern) will host a five-team invite on Saturday.

Girls’ tennis: Rhinelander at Wis. Rapids, ccd.

Rhinelander’s scheduled dual meet at Wisconsin Rapids was canceled Tuesday due to rainy conditions. There are no plans to reschedule the non-conference match. 

Rhinelander (16-14) will host WIAA Division 1 subsectional play this coming Monday.
