A plea to save the Human Services Center

To the Editor:

On Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m. the Oneida County Board of Supervisors will be discussing and voting on a resolution for Oneida County to bow out of the Human Services Center, as has been verified to me by several members of that board.

I am opposed to this resolution.

The Human Service Center has been very helpful to people throughout the counties of Vilas, Oneida and Forest for close to 20 years.

I was a client myself from the mid ‘80s to the early ‘90s, and I can honestly say that they were a positive catalyst for improvements in my life.

I sincerely hope that Human Services can be saved.
