Marching in to battle

Members of the Northwoods Honor Guard lead the Rhinelander High School football field into Mike Webster Stadium prior to a Great Northern Conference football game against Hayward Friday, Sept. 8, 2023. The Hodags football team held a Service Appreciation night Friday where it honored active military members, veterans, police officers and emergency personal. They were invited to share a meal with the team prior to the game, participated in the march from RHS to Mike Webster Stadium with the team and were recognized on the field prior to Friday night’s game. The Hodags defeated Hayward 13-7 to move to 4-0 on the season. For more coverage of the game, see Page 8.
