The Hodag BMX Club had more than 40 members take part in the Wisconsin BMX state championship weekend at Winnebagoland BMX in Oshkosh Aug. 25-26.

The club had several riders who walked away with state championships in their respective age/skill groups. Those riders included Jackson Wergin (11 Expert, 11 Cruiser), Jayce Wergin (14 Girls Expert, 13-14 Girls Cruiser), Greyson Drake (7 Novice/Intermediate), Ivan Crass (8 Cruiser), Dominic McCarty (10 Cruiser), Alec Pilat (12 Cruiser), James Wergin (13 Cruiser), Trevor Martin (13 Expert), Brody Haff (14 Cruiser) Wyatt Underwood (14 Novice/Intermediate), Lain Mahner (15 Novice/Intermediate) and Brad Kallio (36-40 Cruiser). Additionally, the club had runner-up finishes in seven different classes and third-place finishes in nine classes.

Racing will continue at the Hodag BMX track in Rhinelander on Friday nights through the end of October.
