Applications for 2023 winter room tax grants available now

The Rhinelander Tourism and Marketing Committee (RTMC) is accepting applications for the winter disbursement of Room Tax Community Grants. Funding is available for not-for-profit community groups and organizations. Tourism- based projects or events scheduled to take place between February and September and encouraged to apply during this cycle, according to an RTMC press release.

Proposed projects should be focused on events and/or projects for the Rhinelander and Town of Pelican areas and focus on bringing people into the area or on encouraging visitors to stay longer, the release states. A number of criteria must be met to qualify for grant consideration. All grant criteria can be found on the application. The RTMC will not fund for-profit organizations.

Applications can be requested via the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. For a copy of the application, email [email protected] or call (715) 365-7464. Applications must be turned into the Chamber by 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17. Electronic or paper applications will be accepted. The RTMC board will review all applications during its December meeting.
