Roderick “Rod” Doyle Bushor

Roderick “Rod” Doyle Bushor, age 83, of Rhinelander, died on Oct. 14, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 7, 1940, in Tomahawk, the son of George and Alta (Schroff) Bushor. For most of his life Rod worked in the logging industry as a logger. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a diehard Packer fan. He loved anything to do with the outdoors.

Rod is survived by the love of his life Carolyn J Kaufman-Bushor, his sons and daughters Ronnie Bushor, Diana (Wayne) Wempen-Connell, David Bloom, Felicia Reinke, Gordon (Missy) Kaufman, John (Jamie) Kaufman, Jack Kaufman, Dorothy (Phil) Gritzmacher and Kevin Kaufman, 28 grandkids and 22 great-grandkids, his brothers and sisters Darwin (Barbara) Bushor, Marvin Bushor, Roger (Donna) Bushor, Ardis Teal, Terri (Bill) Mortenson, Juanita (Ron) Evans, Alita Evans, his sister-in-law Sallie Bushor, his brother-In-law Val Thilmany, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roland Bushor, Wayne Bushor and Arvid Bushor, his sisters Ramona Bushor and Donna Thilmany and his brother-in-law, Barry Evans.

A memorial service for Rod will be held on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m. to just prior to the services, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rhinelander.
