YMCA of the Northwoods ready to unveil new gymnasium, aerobics studio
The YMCA of the Northwoods is encouraging the public to attend a ribbon cutting Oct. 24 celebrating two new spaces at its Rhinelander facility.
(Submitted photo)“Attendees will have the opportunity to see the recently-completed 12,000-square-foot gymnasium and 2,000-square-foot aerobics studio,” according to a YMCA press release. “Both are components of the Y’s $3 million Building for the Future Campaign, which has sought to expand the Y’s reach and capacity to provide services to the Northwoods community. The new gymnasium includes three pickleball courts, a two-lane walking track, and enough space and equipment to host gymnastics meets. The new aerobics studio will provide expanded space for group exercise classes.”
Additional new spaces are nearing completion. A 3,000-square-foot Teen Lounge and 1,400-square-foot Community Lounge are also part of the Building for the Future Campaign initiative.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.
