Rhinelander Community Foundation helps library purchase AED

Thanks to the generosity of the Rhinelander Community Foundation, the Rhinelander District Library (RDL) has purchased an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

“The AED has been installed on the main floor of the library near the parking lot (east) entry, directly across from the elevator,” library officials said in a press release. “The equipment may be used for both adults and children. The location of the AED was suggested with the help of members of the Rhinelander Fire Department. RDL staff was trained on use of the AED, compression-only CPR, and responding in this type of crisis, by the Red Cross during staff education in-service, September 22, 2023.”

The Rhinelander District Library thanks the Rhinelander Community Foundation for the grant allowing the purchase of this potentially lifesaving equipment for the community.
