Bonita Theresa Simineau

Bonita Theresa Simineau, age 86 of Rhinelander, died on February 2, 2023, at Friendly Village in Rhinelander. She was born on June 12, 1936, in Merrill, to George and Theresa (Kellsey) Gauthier.

Bonita attended Rhinelander High School, and then went on to graduate as a certified nurse aide from Iron County Community Schools. With that certification she worked at a nursing home in Florence. She enjoyed being outdoors camping and fishing, playing bingo, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears.

She is survived by her daughter Goldie Simineau, her three sons Bill (Pat Knutson) Scheffler, Wayne Scheffler and Robert Scheffler, her granddaughters Billy Jo Scheffler and Veronica T. Kurzac, her great-grandsons Joshua Gene Alsteen and Matthew Scheffler, her stepbrother Charles Galvin, and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her sons Phillip and Jimmy Scheffler, her daughter Eva Scheffler, and her parents.

Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Wabeno.
