Nearly 500 boxes of food packed for local pantries

The Northwoods Association of Realtors (NAR) Food Packing Event took place on Nov. 9 at the Lakeland Pantry.

The Lakeland Pantry,  in collaboration with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and the NAR, as well as help from MHLT Honor Society students, packed 480 boxes of food geared toward households with children.

These boxes were distributed to the Antigo Food Pantry, Highland Camp Merrill, Rhinelander Area Food Pantry and Lakeland Pantry.

Everybody that participated had a wonderful time and it’s all about “neighbors helping neighbors!” the release states.
