Steven W. Beck

Steven W. Beck, age 71, of Rhinelander, died on November 4, 2023, at the Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital, with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 25, 1952, in Wausau, the son of Wallace and Angela (Radtke) Beck.

He attended schools in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School in 1970. He then attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. 

On March 19, 1977 in Rhinelander, he married the love of his life, the former Susan Koppa, and they were blessed with 46 years together.

Steve worked as a chef for the Holiday Acres Resort for over 20 years and then went to work for the Rhinelander school district for another 17 years. 

He retired in 2009.

Steve's interests included a love for musky fishing, hunting, occasional trips to the casino and pool league two nights a week. His greatest joy however, came from the time he spent with his grandson Jayden, whom he loved dearly.

Steve is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Jennifer Beck, his son Joshua (Melissa) Beck, his grandson Jayden, his brother Michael (Chris) Beck, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
