Delmer “Skip” Lunde

Delmer "Skip" Lunde, age 81, of Rhinelander, died on November 2, 2023, at his home. He was born on January 9, 1942, in Phelps, the son of Delmer Sr. and Evelyn (Hupf) Lunde.

His family moved to Rhinelander where Del attended school, graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1960.

He married the former Charlotte Bellile on January 19, 1960 in Crystal Falls, Mich. and they were blessed with 63 years together. 

After his schooling Del worked for the Rhinelander Paper Company for over 20 years. He then moved to Janesville and then to Fort Wayne, Ind. where he was employed by General Motors, at both locations. 

After his retirement he and his family returned to Rhinelander where he has lived since. 

Outside of his family, Del's passion was golf. He was a former member of the Rhinelander Country Club and the Northwoods Golf Course. He also frequented many other local courses. Del also enjoyed bowling and earlier in life, deer hunting. 

He was a big Green Bay Packers fan. 

Del is survived by his wife Charlotte (Bellile), his children Krisann Lunde, Eric (Julie) Lunde, and Darl (Doreen) Lunde, his grandson Derrick Lunde, his brothers Randy (Kathy) Lunde and Rick (Michelle) Lunde, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Julia, Eileen, Ginger and Cindy. 

A visitation for Del will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home.
