Northwoods Veterans Homestead announces fundraiser

The Northwoods Veterans Homestead will host its second annual pig roast fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Cabaret Cove, 1540 Pueblo Drive, Rhinelander. 

Dinner will be served from 4 to 8 p.m., and raffles will be drawn from 8 to 9 p.m., organizers said in a press release. 

There will be 50/50 drawings, raffle baskets, a punch board, and a plinko board. The cost for dinner is $20 per plate, piglets plates (ages 3-12) are $10, and kids under 2 eat free. 

The Northwoods Honor Guard will perform an opening ceremony beginning at 4 p.m. followed by an invocation by Rev. MacKay.

 “If you would like to donate a raffle basket, it would be greatly appreciated,” the release states. “They can be dropped off at FMB Custom Embroidery, 416 S. Pelham Street, Rhinelander, Monday-Wednesday, or Thursday until noon through November 9. If you need your basket picked up, please call Janice Johnson at (715) 628-0860 to make arrangements. If there’s a band or individual who would like to donate their time and play some light music at the event, please contact the NVH President.”
